HOW TO PLAY TAG

PLAYERS: 2 to 30

WHAT YOU NEED: A group of players and an open space to run.

INSTRUCTIONS:

*
CHOOSE WHO IS “IT”: Decide who will be “it.” This can be done by counting, playing rock-paper-scissors, or any method that everyone agrees upon.

*
START THE GAME: Once “it” is chosen, all players must spread out and prepare to run.

*
CHASE AND TAG: The person who is “it” will chase the other players. The goal is to tag someone by touching them.

*
TAGGED PLAYER BECOMES “IT”: When a player gets tagged, they immediately become “it,” and the previous “it” joins the rest of the players to run away.

*
WINNING: The game can continue until everyone has had a turn being “it,” or players can set a time limit and play multiple rounds.

EMBELLISHED HISTORY:
I used to play it with my friends at Silver Sage Elementary. The thrill of chasing one another and the laughter echoing through the playground still resonates with me. Tag was more than just a game; it was a way to connect, compete, and enjoy the simple joys of childhood. Every round brought new strategizing and unexpected friendships, making it one of my favorite memories from those school days.
