Ultimate Frisbee
All players must remain in their end zone until the pull is thrown. At the start of the game, a toss decides which team throws the first pull. After a goal is scored, play stops. The team that scored stays in that end zone and throws the pull and becomes the defensive team.
Things needed to play:
Frisbee
Players: 4 to 18
Gameplay Steps
Starting the Game
Teams line up at their respective end zones.
The defense throws (“pulls”) the frisbee to the offense to start.
Movement
Players cannot run while holding the frisbee.
Advance by passing to teammates.
Pivoting on one foot is allowed while holding the frisbee.
Scoring
A point is scored when a player catches the frisbee in the opposing team’s end zone.
Turnovers
Occur when the frisbee is dropped, intercepted, thrown out of bounds, or not caught within 10 seconds (stall count).
The opposing team immediately takes possession where the turnover occurred.
Defense
Defenders can mark the player holding the frisbee to force a turnover.
Only one defender may mark a player at a time, and they must stay at least an arm’s length away.
History of the Game: Me and my boyfriend played this at CJ strike one year. We had a plan to defeat the SO’s Significant Others but alas, they won. We were destroyed as they took it across the end zone.
