HOW TO PLAY ROCK PAPER SCISSORS
Rock Paper Scissors is a quick and fun game you can play with just two people. Each person picks one of three things—rock, paper, or scissors—and you reveal your choices at the same time. The rules are simple: rock beats scissors, scissors beat paper, and paper beats rock. If you both pick the same thing, it’s a tie. It’s great for settling little debates or just passing the time!
THINGS NEEDED TO PLAY:
PLAYERS: 2
HOW TO PLAY:
* Stand or sit facing your opponent.
* Decide how you’ll count together, typically saying “Rock, Paper, Scissors, Shoot!”
* Say “Rock” while both players form a fist. Then say “Paper,” keeping your fist ready. On “Scissors,” do the same.
* On “Shoot,” both players quickly form their hand into one of the three shapes:
* ROCK: A fist.
* PAPER: A flat, open hand.
* SCISSORS: Two fingers extended in a V shape.
* Rock beats Scissors (rock crushes scissors).
* Scissors beat Paper (scissors cut paper).
* Paper beats Rock (paper covers rock).
* If you both choose the same shape, it’s a tie.
* Play again for fun or decide the best out of three!
Rock Paper Scissors has been a staple of my childhood. I played it all throughout my youth in school, with friends, and with family. It helped us to decide who’d get to do things first, who had to take out the trash, or anything else.
